Thanks for being one of the first subscribers to my new weekly newsletter, which I'm calling "Eight Digit News." If you're not familiar with how to read a map, an eight digit grid coordinate allows you to pinpoint a location to within 10 meters, which is very accurate. That's also the kind of news I want to find and curate for this newsletter, and thus the inspiration for the name. 

Of course, accurate reporting isn't the only criteria I'll be looking for. I've been asked many times where people can find unbiased news that's also relevant. Although I think it's hard to find publications as a whole that are unbiased, I do know that there are hundreds, even thousands of news stories published every day by good journalists that are accurate, unbiased, and relevant. 

Those are the no-bullshit stories that I'll be looking to include in this weekly newsletter. 

Of course this newsletter won't be all-encompassing; I'll be personally selecting each week's stories with an emphasis on variety and what I personally find interesting and/or important. My hope is that if you only have time to read the stories in this letter, you'll be well-rounded and informed about the happenings in our nation and around the world. But by no means do I think that the stories I select are the only stories worth reading! And of course, feel free to hit me up on Twitter @martyskovlundjror @8digitnewswith articles I should consider for the newsletter — I'm always open to suggestions!

Finally, I'd like to ask your help in growing this platform.
